I am an artist who makes interdisciplinary artwork by including drawings, paintings, and photographs on large ceramic forms. My most recent body of work conveys the theme of perpetual change from trauma to growth. The role of the medium in my work helps me describe the story I choose to convey. I make work about defining the self and the family as well as my heritage, animal rights, and growth. While exploring my own emotions as an artist in today’s society, I can break barriers of what it means to be an artist by making art that relates to experiences people have gone through. Through all my work I can achieve a different feel through each medium and love every time I combine them.
