Artist Hope Vanessa

Hope is an Artist from NJ/PA who has a B.F.A. from Uarts in interdisciplinary art and works mainly in Ceramics (as well as photography, painting, and drawing). She also attended the Ceramics studio assistantship program at Penland School of Craft in the fall 2024 and now will be going again in the summer of 2025. She makes work about defining the self as well as change and internal emotions. Many of her works have been featured in Space 1026 Philly, The Icebox Project Space, Photo Lounge PA, The Clay Studio, Fine Arts Gallery 6&8, as well as the NJ Trenton capital building for the Youth Art Month exhibition. She has also received the Crozier Prize Fund for Outstanding Achievement and the Distinguished Scholar/Artist Scholarship during her undergraduate studies. Galleries are also her passion as she has worked in several including the Philadelphia Art Alliance. Currently, she is working at Chester Springs Studios as a ceramics instructor and plans to work towards being a working artist. She is continuing her community outreach by teaching art to people of all ages.
